We Are Invincible – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 10, 2026
We Are Invincible Organization (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) operates weareinvincible.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you visit or use our Site, donate, submit story ideas or media, contact us, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). Our Services are operated from the United States and are intended primarily for users located in the United States.
1) Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact information (e.g., name, email address, phone number, mailing address).
- Donation-related information (e.g., donation amount, frequency, dedication, message, confirmation/receipt details).
- Story idea/submission information (e.g., written story idea, biography, links, photos, video, audio, social handles, captions, and other materials you choose to provide).
- Communications (e.g., emails, messages, inquiries, support requests).
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (including detailed medical information) through story idea forms unless you are comfortable sharing it for editorial consideration. We may also collect information you provide when subscribing to newsletters, registering for events, volunteering, applying to participate in programs, or responding to surveys or fundraising campaigns.
B. Donations via Donorbox (and Anonymous Giving)
We accept donations via Donorbox, a third-party fundraising platform (“Donation Processor”). When you donate:
- Payment information (e.g., credit card/bank details) is collected and processed by Donorbox and/or its payment processing partners, not by us.
- We may receive donor and transaction details (e.g., name, email, donation amount, donation date, recurring status) to administer donations, provide acknowledgments/receipts, maintain records, and comply with accounting and tax requirements.
- Anonymous donations: If you choose to donate anonymously, we will treat your donation as anonymous in public acknowledgments. We may still receive and maintain certain transaction and administrative details necessary for recordkeeping and compliance.
Donations are also subject to Donorbox's privacy practices and terms. We may use donor contact information to send donation acknowledgments, tax receipts, fundraising appeals, program updates, and event invitations. You may opt out of non-transactional communications at any time.
C. Information We Collect Automatically (Analytics and Logs)
When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect:
- Device and usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps).
- Approximate location (e.g., city/state inferred from IP).
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about Site usage. You can control cookies through your browser/device settings. We and our service providers may also use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies for analytics, website functionality, and communications effectiveness (for example, to understand how visitors interact with our emails and website). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings and any cookie banner presented on our Site.
D. Communications & Marketing
If you sign up for newsletters, donate, register for events, or otherwise engage with us, we may send you communications about our programs, events, fundraising efforts, and organizational updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send administrative or transactional messages (such as donation receipts or important service notices).

3) How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
A. Service Providers
We share information with vendors that provide services on our behalf, such as donation and payment processing (including Donorbox and its processing partners), website hosting and infrastructure, analytics providers (including Google Analytics), and form tools used to receive story idea submissions. These providers are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us. These service providers may include email communication platforms, event registration platforms, and analytics or marketing tools.
B. Legal, Safety, and Compliance
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law or legal process; respond to lawful requests; protect the rights, safety, and security of We Are Invincible, users, or the public; or investigate or prevent fraud or security issues.

If we undergo a reorganization, merger, restructuring, or similar change, we may transfer information consistent with applicable law and this Policy. Transition out of fiscal sponsorship: If and when We Are Invincible receives its own 501(c)(3) status and transitions out of fiscal sponsorship, donor and operational records may be transferred from or shared between CIF and We Are Invincible as reasonably necessary for continuity of operations, legal compliance, and recordkeeping. We will update this Privacy Policy to reflect any material changes.
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense.
4) Story Idea Submissions and Publication
Story idea submissions are collected for editorial consideration only. Submitting an idea does not mean we will publish it. If we are interested in moving forward with your submission (including any potential publication, recording, or public use of your story or materials), we will contact you and obtain any necessary permissions/releases at that time.
Submissions are voluntary. By submitting materials, you understand that we may store, review, and internally share submissions for editorial evaluation and program operations. If we wish to publish or publicly use your story or materials, we will contact you and obtain any required permissions or releases. If you do not want something to be shared publicly, please do not include it in your submission.

If so, we may collect information necessary to manage registrations (e.g., attendee names, contact details, and transaction records). We will update this Policy as needed when those features launch.
8) Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services; administer donations (including recurring donations) and maintain financial/tax records as required by law; handle submissions and communications; prevent fraud and maintain security; and comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
